DESCRIPTION:\nSpeaker:       Marce Wandell, MSA, Director of the Jackson County Department on Aging\n \nSummary:  Marce Wandell has worked in the field of gerontology for many years. She has been Director of the Jackson County Department on Aging since 2010.  Previous to that she was a Senior Center Coordinator, Home Care Supervisor, and Deputy Director for the agency.  Marce’s Community Services undergraduate courses at Michigan State University were at a time when most people didn’t know how to pronounce the word Alzheimer’s. Later on she earned a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University.\n  \n Marce has thoroughly enjoyed her career working with programs that support older adults, their family members and caregivers.  She likes telling others about resources that are available in the community.  She also encourages people to keep moving, be engaged in the community, continue challenging your mind, and plan ahead for what may come as you grow older.\n
